Basic Sequences - ColorCards
This popular set includes sixteen 3-step sequences. Demonstrates simple sequentially related actions to help establish basic concepts, and establish an understanding of order and direction, logical thought and expressive language skills.
Cause & Effect
Designed to help develop logical and critical thinking skills, this set will also help with verbal reasoning, as well as encourage the use and practice of questioning. Contains sequenced pairs in which a specific situation is presented on the first card, the user then having to predict the possible outcome that may, or may not, be shown on the second card.
Problem Solving
Illustrating everyday problems and two possible ways of solving them, this pack is ideal for use in the classroom with children and adults of all ages. There are three cards in each sequence; the first shows the problem and the second shows a possible solution; while the third card introduces an alternative way of dealing with the problem depicted.
Sequences 4 -Step
Contains twelve lively 4-step sequences featuring familiar activities. The sequences show a wide range of events both at home and out and about. Includes people of different ages and ethnic groups. Sequences include: making cakes, going to the dentist, and buying a new pet. Age 6+.
A more complex set including both 6 and 8-step sequences of a variety of activities photographed in both indoor and outdoor locations. These sequences provide excellent opportunities for more advanced language work including syntax, grammar, vocabulary, and time concepts, and are specifically designed for working with children. Some unexpected twists within the sequences add amusement and provide opportunities for discussion.
Simple Sequences
At a simpler level than Basic Sequences, this pack shows a range of familiar daily activities. Includes twelve 2-step sequences to establish the concept of actions in an activity taking place in a logical order and eight 3-step sequences to further develop these skills. The activities are easy to relate to and show frequently occurring activities within the experience of most users. Sequences shown include brushing teeth, turning on a lamp, riding a bike, and decorating a cake. Age: 5+.
